If you want special alerts for important emails - messages from a particular sender or with certain text in the subject, for example - then you'll want to know how to set up Rules in Outlook. The Rules feature can examine your incoming mail and alert you to anything that you've told it is important, either with a special sound, a flag, or a pop-up box. Click through for the full illustrated. Mac: Open Outlook and go to Preferences Notifications & Sounds, then select a sound under Message arrival. - Open a web browser, go to the Outlook.com sign-up screen, and select Create free account. Enter a username —the part of the email address that comes before @outlook.com. Select the dropdown arrow at the far right of the username field to change the domain from the default outlook.com to hotmail.com if you prefer a Hotmail address.
- This is most likely due to an incorrect city value set for the room. Please review what the city value is for rooms and confirm it is correct. I see the room finder in Outlook on the web; will the same show up in Outlook for Windows and Mac? We are working on releasing this to other Outlook clients.

As an IT admin, you may want to provide Outlook for Mac users in your organization with a standard set of preferences in either of the following ways:
- Set a default preference, which users can change.
- Force a particular preference, which users can’t change.
The following preferences can be used to simplify account setup for Office 365 mailboxes, help protect company data, and support a streamlined user experience.
These keys are CFPreferences-compatible, which means that it can be set by using enterprise management software for Mac, such as Jamf Pro.

Mailbox settings
Automatically configure Office 365 mailbox on first launch
The email address used for Office activation will be added on first launch.
